Introduction

As an ‘Official’ Thoroughbred Racing Industry organization which is owned and operated by the industry, RISA is responsible for and provides a diverse range of Thoroughbred Racing Materials for TAB, Non TAB, Picnic and Trial Race Meetings across Australia.

As the owner and operator of the RISA Service Centre the process of managing Nominations, Weights, Gear Changes, Acceptances and Scratchings across Australia is managed by RISA. (This excludes WA meetings which are managed by RWWA. WA Racing Materials are made available to RISA). As the creator of the Race Field the process starts and ends with RISA.

As the ‘Official’ repository for all Thoroughbred Race Results across Australia (TAB, Non TAB, Picnic and Trials) RISA manages the official industry record of Race Results in Australia.

These results are combined with Race Fields to create a diverse range of Form products.

Via a relationship with the Australian Stud Book Breeding Information is combined with the Registration of Horse Name information (Registrar of Racehorses) which is owned and operated by RISA to further enhance the Racing Materials available from RISA.

Race Fields, Race Results and associated industry Materials combine to create a range of industry prepared and managed Fields, Form, Results and Statistical Materials.

RISA makes Racing Materials available for personal use via the Free and Subscriber sections of this website...

RISA also makes Racing Materials available to organizations for commercial use.

Free Racing Materials for Personal Use

RISA provides an extensive range of Free Racing Materials via the Free Fields and Form (Racing Materials) section of this website. The Free Racing Materials is supplied under licence from RISA for personal use only. It is a breach of RISA’s terms and conditions of use for the Racing Materials provided to be used for any purpose other than personal use.

Commercial Sales of Racing Materials

Introduction

RISA works in partnership with our commercial clients as the Thoroughbred Industry’s ‘Official’ representative to provide Racing Materials via multiple methods of delivery which include Email, FTP and our new Self Service Tool. Just as the Thoroughbred Racing Industry operates seven days a week RISA is committed to providing Racing Materials and support seven days a week. Our Products and Technology team provide twenty-four hour support ensuing access to RISA experts at all times.

Where Racing Materials provided by RISA is to be used by the organization or individual for commercial purposes a standard set of commercial Racing Info Fees, Service Charges and Royalties apply.

The simplicity of the RISA pricing model enables RISA to quickly tailor a proposal based upon the following criteria:

1. Type of Race Meeting Required (TAB / Non TAB)

2. Location of Race Meeting (State / Territory of Australia)

3. Location of Race Meeting within State or Territory (Metro / Non Metro)

4. Class of Race Meeting (Feature race etc)

Method of Supply

The standard Racing Materials files are available in RISA’s standard PC00 format.

RISA’s Products and Technology team also works with our clients to customize file formats using PC00 or XML to meet our clients needs. This ensures the minimum of reworking of files by our clients.

Additional Commercial Services

Ratings

For over twenty years RISA has provided a Ratings Service through a partnership with the Australian Ratings Bureau. The TechForm Rating is a rating out of 100 which is based upon the horse performances of horses across Australia.

The TechForm Rating has been used in a range of On Course Racebooks in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and Tasmania for a number of years.

In addition to appearing next to each horse within a Racebook a TechForm Top Five Pick is also available.

TechForm is also available in the Subscriber Fields and Form section of this website.

TechForm ratings are available for purchase by commercial clients of RISA.

Wall Charts

RISA provides preformatted PDF ready Wall Charts for all Australian Thoroughbred Meetings and also provides Wall Charts for selected international meetings including Hong Kong.

RISA can generate the Wall Chart PDF immediately upon the release of final acceptances ensuring tight printing and distribution timelines can be met.

Racebooks

RISA has over twenty years experience in the production of On Course Racebooks. RISA over the years has also led significant innovations such as the changes in the early 1990’s that resulted in the On Course Racebook including Form rather than just Fields.

RISA provides the following On Course Racebook Services;

Full Pre Press – RISA’s Publications team provides a full cover to cover services formatting the Racebook inserting Race Club specific information such as Committee Page, Advertisements and Race Fields and Form to create a printer ready Racebook.

Part Pre Press - RISA’s Publications team provides a part cover to cover services formatting the Race Fields and Form then providing the part formatted Racebook to the Race Clubs printer to insert Race Club specific information such as Committee Page, Advertisements to create a printer ready Racebook.

Basic Layout Only – RISA provides part formatted Racebook files which are downloaded by the Race Clubs printer. These files include the Race Field and Race Form information only. The Race Club printer then completes the Racebook.

Fields and Form Only – RISA provides raw data download files which are downloaded by the Race Clubs printer who then utilizes their own Pre Press Tool to format the Racebook.

Private Label Websites

The Free Fields and Form section of the RISA website is available under a private label licence. This enables organizations to offer a Form services based upon the most up to date Racing Information managed by the ‘Official’ Industry organization.
